BECOMING A 2020-2021 GFHS LINK CREW LEADER
The first step to becoming a LINK Leader is to fully commit to participating in the following activities. You must commit to all dates – NO EXCEPTIONS!
Attend Training Days: Two (2) Training Days in later August/Early September. These will occur from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Freshmen Orientation: Wednesday, September 1st from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm (1st day of school for freshman)
Provide individual personal contact with your “Crew” throughout the school year and participate in regularly scheduled LINK events.
If you can fully commit to these activities, you can complete the LINK Leader application here: ON-LINE LINK CREW APP
You can also download and print a PDF of the application packet, complete it, and turn in at the high school front office. Download the LINK Crew Application packet.
We will be keeping approximately 30-40 leaders from those that apply. Having to eliminate applicants is a difficult process for all of us, but a necessary one as you can see.
When selecting leaders from the applications, the first thing we rate is the quality of the application and responses. Next, we look for students that can provide a good cross-section of the student body as a whole. We want leaders that are involved in student government as well as ones that are involved in the music program, the drama program, or the arts program.
We want students that are great academic students and others that might be average students. We look for students that might work after school as well as others that have moved here after the start of their freshman year. We want as many interests and backgrounds represented as possible. The only preference given is to current juniors when all else appears similar.
Please respect the difficult choices we have in trying to assemble a group of leaders that will provide the program with the best opportunity for success while providing a good representation of the diverse student body at GFHS.
Thank You,
Mrs. Coulson and Mrs. Sullivan
