School Improvement Plan

Each school in the Granite Falls School District creates a School Improvement Plan (SIP) every year. These plans are required by the State of Washington (WAC 180-16-220) and GFSD Board Policy #2004 Performance Improvement Goals. The SIP helps guide each school’s goals and actions to make sure every student is learning, growing, and supported.
In Granite Falls, all of our schools are working together in three main areas: building strong skills in reading and writing (Literacy/ELA), strengthening learning in Math, and creating a sense of Belonging for every student. We believe that when students feel connected, confident, and cared for, they learn best.
Teachers and staff work as a team across our schools to meet regularly to look at student learning, share ideas, and plan ways to support each child. By working together, we’re helping our students—and our community—grow stronger every day.
